Calculating Wallpaper Quantity for a Room

    In this example:

    • Total Width of walls = 177" + 136 1/2" + 177" + 136 1/2" = 627"
    • Finished Width of wallpaper = 51 3/4"
    • (Finished Width = Printed Width less 3/4" for overlap and splice)
       

    Calculate Number of Drops

    • Total Width of walls divided by Finished Width of wallpaper 627" ÷ 51 3/4" = 12.12
      (this figure always needs to be rounded up) = 13 drops
       

    Calculate Total Quantity

    • Wall Height + 4" top + 4" bottom allowance = 627" + 8" = 635"
    • 635" x 13 drops = 229.31 yards
